Call queues

A queue that organizes demand without hiding missed work.

Discuss your deployment

A call queue connects customers with available employees according to an agreed strategy. PBXCenter ties queues to working hours, prompts, the WebRTC workspace, call history and follow-up status.

01Assignment

Employee availability affects the real queue outcome

Employees use individual accounts and set their status in the workspace. Queue membership is managed separately, so calls do not have to ring people who are outside the active service process.

  • 01Queues can represent a department, company number or service purpose.
  • 02Availability separates readiness to answer from simply being signed in.
  • 03Ring groups remain available for simpler simultaneous-call patterns.

02Waiting experience

Waiting has an audible message and a designed ending

The flow defines what callers hear and what happens when nobody answers. The next destination can be another queue, a group, an extension, an announcement or voicemail.

  • 01Music and spoken prompts are managed as controlled audio resources.
  • 02No-answer behavior produces a business outcome instead of an accidental hang-up.
  • 03Schedules separate active queue coverage from after-hours handling.

03Outcomes

History and follow-up status show the work after the call

Administrators review the call outcome and queue data captured by the phone system. Missed calls can carry a follow-up status instead of disappearing inside a closed statistic.

  • 01Filters separate answered, missed and action-required conversations.
  • 02CSV export supports further analysis without claiming hidden intelligence.
  • 03Results should be interpreted alongside staffing, schedules and flow changes.

FAQ

Direct answers before the conversation.

01

Can one employee belong to several queues?

Yes, an employee account can be assigned to multiple queues. Priorities and day-to-day workload should still be reviewed so that the arrangement does not create conflicting responsibilities.

02

What happens when the maximum waiting time is reached?

The configured flow decides. A call can move to another group, message, voicemail or another agreed destination rather than ending without explanation.
