Phone system migration

Change systems without guessing which numbers and devices are critical.

Discuss your deployment

Migration to PBXCenter begins with an inventory of numbers, providers, endpoints, call flows and network dependencies. Configuration, acceptance tests and the cutover window follow that evidence.

  1. Inventory

Numbers, routes, devices and exceptions come before design

The inventory covers main and direct numbers, providers, endpoints, forwarding, IVR, queues and unusual dependencies that may not appear on a simple carrier bill.

    • Each number has a business owner and a target call flow.
    • Devices are marked for retention, replacement or WebRTC use.
    • Unusual features are tested rather than assumed compatible.
  2. Preparation

The new environment is ready before production traffic moves

PBXCenter is configured with domain, TLS, provider, numbers, users, devices and routes. Validation and simulation remove logic errors before live call testing.

    • Test numbers or parallel operation reduce single-cutover risk.
    • Tests cover inbound, outbound and no-answer outcomes.
    • Backup and rollback instructions exist before the change.
  3. Handover

Acceptance covers users, endpoints and maintenance procedures

One working call does not complete migration. Target workstations, queues, recordings, reporting, backup, monitoring and agreed failure cases are reviewed before retirement of the old system.

    • Every acceptance test has an outcome and an accountable reviewer.
    • Employee and administrator instructions remain separate.
    • The legacy system is retired only after cutover criteria pass.

FAQ

Direct answers before the conversation.

01

Does migration require telephone downtime?

That depends on the provider, numbers and current infrastructure. The plan minimizes downtime and prepares rollback, but zero interruption is not promised without analysis.

02

Can existing desk phones remain in use?

Some devices may remain if they are compatible and pass testing. Others may require replacement, a gateway or a WebRTC workstation.
