The PBXCenter workspace connects voice calls with availability, queues, contacts and notes. Employees use their own account without environment administration access or reusable SIP credentials.

01Daily work
Answer and make calls without switching between tools
After sign-in, employees see phone status, assigned queues and caller context. They can handle the conversation and save a note in the same surface, without administrator configuration.
- 01Employee availability provides intentional entry into queue handling.
- 02Contacts and previous notes reduce lost conversation context.
- 03Private alerts highlight calls that require the user's attention.
02Session security
Short-lived phone data instead of a reusable employee secret
PBXCenter issues a protected phone session for the signed-in user. Employees do not need to know or store a reusable SIP password, and their account remains separate from administrative permissions.
- 01Workspace access follows the employee account and assigned roles.
- 02Domain and TLS are configured as part of the PBXCenter environment.
- 03The public site never connects to a customer's workspace or phone data.
03Workstation readiness
The browser, network and headset need a real call test
A visible panel does not prove call quality. Before launch, microphone permissions, audio devices, network, sign-in, inbound and outbound calls must be checked on the actual workstation.
- 01Testing uses the browser and audio hardware that the team will use.
- 02Permission or connection failures should be recognizable before the first workday.
- 03An IP phone can remain an alternative for positions that need physical hardware.
FAQ
Direct answers before the conversation.
Must an application be installed on the computer?
Not for the WebRTC workspace. The phone runs in a supported browser, but it needs microphone permission, a compatible network, TLS and a correctly configured environment.
Can employees see phone-system settings?
No. The employee workspace is separate from administration. It presents the phone, availability, queues, caller context and notes required for service.
Does WebRTC replace an IP desk phone?
It can on many workstations, but the decision depends on work style, hardware, network and reliability requirements. PBXCenter also supports phone provisioning.
Deployment for your company
Test the workspace on the target hardware and network.
Deployment includes checks of the browser, audio devices, calls and employee assignment to the correct queues.
